Livestream Room

Session Description

We rely on research, data and evidence to understand family and gender-based violence and what works best to prevent it.

This session will explore the different forms that this knowledge takes, as well as important limitations and gaps and how to fill them. How do we ensure the questions we ask and the data we capture reflects the safer and more diverse and equal future we want?

Panelists will discuss how different forms of research, data and evidence are variously valued and used in primary prevention efforts. It will explore how to use research and evaluation to craft messages that inspire our audiences and design prevention programs that are more inclusive and effective. This session will also focus on how to frame evidence in a way that elevates an issue and speaks to the hearts and minds of target audiences to support positive and lasting change.
