Professional Bio
Connie Shaw is a Kaytetye and Warumungu woman born and raised in Alice Springs. She is a fifth generation proud town camper. Connie works at Tangentyere Council as the Coordinator of the Young Women’s Family Safety Group called the Future Yayes. She has been part of the Tangentyere Woman’s Family Safety Group since 2015, and is now on The Northern Territory's Aboriginal Advisory Board on Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence and the First Nation National Steering Committee.
I'm very passionate about the work that I do in the DFSV sector I'm proud that I can advocate and support young people by giving the young women an understanding of what a healthy relationships looks like and where violence stems from.
