As the Preventing Violence Against Women Policy Officer at the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV), Bonnie has a key role in representing and advocating for the interests of local government. Bonnie works with all Victorian councils to provide policy and advocacy advice and facilitate strengthened relationships with other levels of government and industry bodies. A core responsibility of Bonnie’s role is to support councils funded through the Free From Violence Local Government Program to implement primary prevention initiatives. Prior to starting at the MAV in 2023, Bonnie has worked in the local government and health sectors in a variety of roles across rural Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne.
