This space is for delegates who might wish to take a break from the livestreams and workshop sessions but want to stay within the platform and as a part of the conference.
Please feel free to sit in this space for as long as you like. You may wish to go gently with yourself and try one or a few of the suggestions below.
Before you begin, check in with yourself to rate how you are feeling, and then after trying one to three of the activities below, rate yourself on that same scale again. This may help you recognise you are feeling ready to return to the conference.
Ideas you might like to try:
- Take three deep breathes, with each subsequent breath, breathe in slightly deeper than the one before, breathing in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth.
- Remain seated or get up from your seat and gently stretch your body.
- Moving away from your desk and drinking something you find soothing.

Using your five senses or a selection of a few (whether at your desk, in a different room, or you could go outside) and naming without judgement:
- 5 things you can see
- 4 things you can hear
- 3 things you can touch
- 2 things you can smell
- one thing you can taste (and if you can't taste anything, that's okay and what you name)
- Perhaps you might have a pet nearby, you might like to spend a few minutes patting or playing with your pet
- Repeat a loving kindness mantra a few times - May I be filled with loving kindness, May I be well, May I be peaceful and at ease, May I be happy.
